On March 21, the Pawnee City speech team travels to East Butler for Districts. We had several people who were placed in different events.

A total of nine people qualified for State. Kailey qualified for State in Persuasive and Extemporaneous; Larkyn qualified in Humorous; the OID of Kaitlyn, Cameron, Abby, Anna, and Madolyn qualified; Anna and Madolyn qualified for Duets; and Tyler and Cael qualified for Duets.
Kailey Hartman was asked: How did you think it went overall? What is your favorite part of speech? Are you looking forward to State? What is your favorite speech to do? She responded, “I think that it went really great! I got third in persuasive and first in extemp! I am really excited for State speech! My favorite is extemporaneous, but I also like doing persuasive too!”
