Larry

On February 14, Larry the Cable Guy returned to Pawnee City to host a comedy show. This was a fun way for locals to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with many attending to enjoy an evening of entertainment.

When PC student Isabell Long was asked what she thought about the show, she replied, “I really enjoyed the show, especially the opening act, and although it was my first time attending one of his shows, I was excited and thought every part of it was equally good and funny.”

Haylee Riesland attended the show too, and she also had some comments to share. “I sort of enjoyed the show, though it felt catered mainly to adults. This was my first time seeing him live, but I enjoyed the opening act with Nick Hoff a lot.”

The auditorium was filled up and when Mr. Niss was asked how many seats were sold, he replied, “Our auditorium seats 482 people. We were able to set up a few more seats in the back and sold 489 tickets total.” He also mentioned a thoughtful plan the comedians and their team had, “Their generous plan is to donate the proceeds from the show. Once they have confirmed and covered their expenses from the show they will confirm the donation amount with us later this week.”

When Mr. Niss was asked if he enjoyed the show, he replied, “I was able to watch quite a bit from both performers. The performances were good. I really enjoyed getting to have a fun event like this here. My favorite part was seeing nearly 500 people show up to our school and have a good time together. It was great to see so many people from our school, both students and staff, volunteer time to put this together.”

This was a great way to bring people together for some fun, and it’s something that should definitely happen again in the future!
