On February 11, the junior varsity girls play their final game against Axtell, KS, finishing their season with a record of 7-6, the best record in many years. Pawnee City unfortunately lost with a score of 6-27. Denielle Gyhra scored 5 points for the Indians, followed by Taelyn Blecha with 1.
When asked how the overall season went, Mr. Kluck stated, “I think we definitely got a lot better throughout the course of the year. I can remember our lack of defensive and rebounding effort the first year games, and to just consider how much better that got especially from our younger players by the end of the year, it was pretty substantial.”
When asked about how the overall season went, Kailey Hartman stated, “I think that our season went really well! We had a winning record for the first time in several years, and everyone on the team got a lot better as the season went on. Tuesday, our team did a great job being aggressive against a very physical team.”
