On January 23, Pawnee City invites JCC and Falls City Public to their very first home wrestling meet. Individually, Dylan Layne won both of his matches, going 2-0. Luke Hunzeker and Jesse McLaughlin both went 1-1. Luke won his first match pinning the opponent in the first round. Jesse won his second match pinning his opponent with a fight. Gauge Schuetz went 1-1 losing his first match but then winning his next match by a pin in the second round.
When asked where there was room for improvement, Gauge responded, “Some things I definitely need to work on are my shots and not stalling out in neutral every time.”
When asked the same question Layne replied, “I did really well with my outside singles, but I need to work on not getting rolled onto my back.”
