On January 7, the Pawnee City junior varsity boys play against Weeping Water at home. They won with a score of 30-29. Jordan Wernimont led the team in points with 14, Payton Rose and Braydon Frakes both had 5, Kaminn Koester had 3, Cael Johnson had 2, and Dawson Wilkinson had 1.
When Payton Rose was asked what he did well, he stated, “Something I did well was running the plays correctly and playing hard on defense.”
Coach Mason Amundson commented on what the team could improve on, “The team could work on strong passes and ball fakes.”
Their next game is on January 21 against HTRS.
