Students in kindergarten through fifth grade perform on their Christmas Concert on December 9. Fifth grade band started the concert, followed by fourth grade recorders. After the kindergarten sang their songs, the rest of the elementary lined up to perform the musical, Christmas in the West. When Mrs. Dieckgrafe was asked which song they did the best, she said, “They did a wonderful job on their closing number 'Christmas is O.K.'"
Mrs. Veleba was asked about the most challenging thing for her students, and she responded, “Fifth graders were challenged on their song, 'Holiday Medley,' because they needed to learn one more new note to play it. It's their highest note so far, and I think they hit it well!” She went on to say that the fourth graders played their songs well, but especially "Sweetly Sings the Santa.”
