On December 5, the varsity girls play against Diller-Odell for their first game at home. Pawnee City scored 24 and Diller-Odell scored 62. The leading points were Madelyn Osborne with 6 points, Kinsley Benson and Cara Pierce had a tie of 4 points, Ericca Gyhra and Emalyse Gottula also had a tie of 3 points, Cameron Ottersberg scored 2 points, and Adelyn Sisco scored 1 point.

When asked about the game, Coach Timothy Kluck responded, “We came out with a very good first half, and really played with Diller-Odell throughout the first quarter and a half. We came out with a ton of energy and intensity. We ran a great fast break and forced Diller to come out of their press. I also thought we shot the ball well in the first half and made smart decisions.”  Coach went on to say that the girls just wore out throughout the game.  They need to focus on endurance and decision-making, even when they’re tired.

The girls will play again on December 13 against Falls City Sacred Heart.
