On November 12, the Pawnee City High School Choir travels to Sterling to sing in the Pioneer Conference Choir. The clinician for the day was Michael Morris; Mr. Morris has taught for 34 years in Nebraska.

Haylee Plager and Mrs. Dieckgrafe were asked what their favorite song was, and they both responded, "More Love." Mrs. Dieckgrafe said, “I thought the ending crescendo was great.”

Something new this year: All of the schools came together in one choir instead of splitting them into two different locations.  The schools that attended were Diller-Odell, Exeter-Milligan, Falls City Sacred Heart, Friend, HTRS, Johnson-Brock, Lewiston, Lourdes Central Catholic, Southern, Sterling, and Pawnee City. Students were asked how they liked having all the conference schools together. Delaney Rottman responded, “I liked having fewer schools there.”

When Mrs. Dieckgrafe was asked the same question, she responded, “I loved having all the conference schools there. It gives our choir a chance to sing with a large choir that they would never have the opportunity to otherwise.”
