On Monday, November 18, the junior high boys basketball team plays against HTRS at home. The boys A-team won with a score of 34-25, while the B-team unfortunately lost with a score of 6-2. When asked what the team did well, coach Timothy Kluck said, “I thought our team shot the ball really well. Liam, Maverick, and Ryan all hit threes. We also showed a lot of resiliency and fought back from losing by 5 at halftime. We outscored HTRS 23-9 in the second half, and Maverick scored all 12 of his points in the second half to lead us to victory."

Mr. Kluck also commented, “To improve before our next game, we need to take care of the ball and make better passes. We turned the ball over a ton, threw lazy passes, and still have a few problems to work out in that regard. But overall, this was a very promising first game.”

When Liam Glathar was asked what the team did well, he replied, “One thing the team did well was scoring in the second half. In the first half, we had a lot of turnovers and no communication. We went  into halftime down by 5, and we talked about things we could do better. Right away in the second half, we went on an 11-0 run, taking the lead back. I hit one 3-point shot, and Maverick made two 3-point shots and a layup. After we were up, we just took our time and won the game.”

When asked what can the team improve on before the next game Maverick Glathar and Ryan Plager both agreed that they need to get the ball to the paint more and drive to the hoop.
