On November 4, the sixth graders take a field trip to the Pinnacle Bank arena to watch the Husker women's basketball team play. Mrs. Amundson was one of the sponsors on the trip. When she was asked about her favorite part of the trip, she stated, “My favorite part was hearing all of the successful athletes talk to such a large audience about how to be successful in life.”
She went on to say that the kids heard messages from Nebraska athletes from the volleyball, baseball, track & field, and women's basketball teams. "The messages were related to being a positive leader, prioritizing schoolwork, and working hard to accomplish what you want in life.”
Students also enjoyed the basketball game, being with their friends, and going to the concession stand for snacks.
