October 10, the junior high volleyball team plays Lourdes Central Catholic (LCC) and HTRS in a triangular in Pawnee City. The girls lost the first set against LCC with a score of 25-17 and lost the second set 25-18. They won the first set against HTRS with a score of 25-17 and won the second set 25-22.
When asked what the team did well, coach Lisa Blecha replied, "In the HTRS game, we did a nice job of communicating positively, forgetting about our mistakes, and moving on to the next play." There are still things the team could improve on before their next game. “Our passing has improved throughout the season, but it is always something we can always be working on."
When Emma Turnbull was asked what the team did well, she replied, "Something that the team did well was staying up even when we were losing. Our passing has improved since the first game, and we hope to end the season with a win against Sterling."
When Ainsley Rauner was asked what she did well, she replied, "I feel like I did really well at seeing the court and serving."
The girls will play their last game of the season on October 23 at Sterling.
