For our last home game of the season, the varsity volleyball team plays JCC on Seniors/Parents Night on October 3. When asked what the team did well, Coach Jordan Amundson said, “The girls came out and tried their hardest to compete. We did do what we could against a great team.” She also commented, “We need to be more consistent and limit our errors to make the other team beat us rather than beat ourselves.” It was a tough game but ultimately didn’t go our way, with a loss, but not without putting up a fight. The team lost in 3 sets with the scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-10.
When Adrian de Koning was asked what is something the team can improve on before the next game, she replied, “I think we lacked communication during the game. It’s hard to play against a team that is built that well and a school that big. Next game, we will need to bring more energy and communication.”
The girls will play again in the Falls City Tournament on Oct. 12.
