On Friday, September 13, the 7-12 band marches at the Richardson County Fair in Humboldt. Pawnee City was not the only band; they were the third band out of eight, and this was the last parade they would attend this year. After marching, they stayed to eat some fair food for lunch.
Drum majors this year were Anna Meints and Abby Dietrich. When Anna Meints was asked what it's like to be a drum major and why it's important, she replied, "Drum majors are important because they conduct the band and control where and how fast the band walks. They keep the band from running into the people ahead and decide when to play their songs.
"Abby was asked if she was considering being a drum major next year, and she replied, "Yes, I am."
