On August 29, the high school volleyball team plays their first home games of the season in a triangular against Lewiston and EMF (Exter-Milligan-Friend). The girls won their first game against Lewiston with scores of 21-25 and 23-25. Coach Amundson commented, “I feel like, for our first couple of games of the season, the girls came out with a lot of enthusiasm. Our first game with Lewiston was a win, but I felt like we didn't play 100% to our potential.”
Pawnee City played the second game of the night against EMF, losing in two sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-15. When asked about the game, Coach Amundson stated, “I think the girls were well aware, as we came out stronger against EMF. I think overall, we need to work on consistency in all facets of the game.”
Good luck to the volleyball team as they face off against Dorchester today!
