Pawnee City Public School completes the first full week back to school on August 19 through the 23. We welcomed eight new staff members: two in the high school and six in the elementary. Ian Osborne is now a full time para and Kacie Gyhra is an Assistant volleyball coach for the high school team. We also welcomed a foreign exchange student, Embla Isdal-Rognli, from Norway.
Our students got busy right away. Classes kicked off the Friday previous, August 16, and college classes for the upperclassmen began on August 19.
The extra curricular activities also began right away. Volleyball and football practices started on August 12. The volleyball girls participated in their annual gatorade scrimmage Friday, August 23. During the first full week, One-Act held the auditions for the new play this year, Rosie the Riveter. The cast is set and practices are commencing.
We look forward to a busy and fun year!
