Kacie Gyhra

Pawnee City welcomes Kacie Gyhra as one of the assistants for the high school volleyball team. When asked why she is coaching, Coach Gyhra commented, “I love the game. Now that we're back in the area, I'm excited for the opportunity to continue working with the girls and helping them grow in the sport. There's so much potential with this group. I couldn't sit back and watch without the urge to help in some capacity.“

Coach Gyhra played middle and outside for Johnson-Brock High School. While attending Nebraska Wesleyan University she played libero and defensive specialist. “After two semesters there, I realized I missed the farm life and had a deep passion for agriculture and working with kids. I then transferred to the University of Nebraska - Lincoln where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education. I completed student teaching my final semester with Mr. Mark Bloss!”
