On Sunday, August 18, the 7-12 band marches at the Johnson County Fair in Tecumseh. Drum Majors Anna Meints and Abby Dietrich led the band as they played Old Time Rock and Roll. When asked about their performance, Anna Meints responded, “I think this year, we did really well considering our numbers were small. This year's parade was a little difficult since it lasted a while with multiple stops, but everyone played really strongly throughout it.” Madolyn Gottula agreed with Anna Meints, saying the band was "small but mighty."
Isaac Seitz also shared, “Something I thought that stood out to me this year, was that the younger kids seemed to try their very best to stay in step and play the right notes.”
When the band was finished, they stayed at the fair to ride the rides and eat fair food. Their next performance will be at the Richardson County Fair on Friday, September 13.
